Online artist

This artist is more my style. Orduna is inspired by pop culture and shows it in his work. his work include different kinds of mediums combining them as one. He now works for the visionary group an interactive web design. His inspiration also comes from his culture and street graffiti. Aggression is one of his main themes as well as the color red. His work is aimed more towards clients and has work for major companies making heir design. i want to follow a similar career, I recently started creating similar work. An example i have done is below.

Online artist

Uelsmann is one of my most influential artist. His work very unique and has his own style. What i find amazing about his work is how he is the master of photo manipulation. He started way before photoshop came out. He began working with negatives and combining layers. I did some similar work and realized how much time it takes. I respect Uelsmann even more after experiencing the process. The black and white in his work make his style more dramatic and unique. This artist led me to pursue my carrier more in web design and working with photography.

5th series

This is a series i still have to get better at. I am not a big fan of flowers but are a good subject to photograph of. The flowers have many curves and they can relate to body curves. Flowers can be found all over and many different kinds. I will keep taking shots of flowers but next time they will be all close ups.

I really liked the photograph of CSUSM and how the sunset is coming out. The photograph was taken early morning. I took the shot several times and came out with different sky colors. The shot was taken from my bathroom window.

Food Series

This series just made me hungry! I like the lemons how they came out. I changed the color on them and gave them more intensity. I think food is a good subject to photograph due to the variety of colors. Overall the series inspired me to continue and add to it.

Cindy Sherman

Sherman's photography is quite compelling, her approach is what makes her work strong. Many of her shoots include portraits. I like the series where she uses many costumes to photograph herself. The most memorable piece of work i found inspiring was the clown series. The photos had mixed emotion that many can relate to. The colors on some of the shots are also very intense and just jump out. What i like about this artist is her style, she shows different ones not just one. Her study on portraiture is what made Sherman's work more powerful. The stereo type of women is well presented in her photographs and many times uses her as a model.

An-My Le's

An-My Le's work is quite compelling. Her inspiration towards her work is a strong issue. Her shooting of the war is a memory that will never be forgotten. I find it interesting how she prefers to shoot in black and white. I never thought of the connection of drawing to black and white. Her work is an inspiration to experiment with black and white. I was never fascinated with black and white but now i look at different.

2nd set

Texture

This exercise was one of the best. Working with texture and font to incorporated in a photograph just leaves me stunning.
The final result was impressive, looking at other examples influenced my style.

Project #1

This was the result of my first project. I found it amusing working with photography and creating your own style. The tutorials from class and Lynda where very helpful. I will be getting better during time and practice. The project was called portrait series and each photograph has a different technique applied. I learned i need to use a quicker shutter because i don't have a steady hand. Many of my photos where coming out really soft.

class work

Richard Avedon

The short film in class on Richard Avendon was quite a influence. His work in the american west is an example of great work. The photographs taken are of people standing in the middle representing the american west. The best photograph i like best is called Beekeper. I stared at it for a while thinking what a dangerous photograph. I like his statement saying a second you take a picture that life is held, they have a life on their own. The inspiration comes from his meaning on the work.
